Glossary

Working definitions for the core terminology used across this site. Each entry is a compact, operational definition — not a final philosophical commitment — and links to the page where the term is developed in context.

  • IS — Intra-Synthesis Framework

The working hypothesis that physical reality is a structured experience within a universal consciousness, with UAP as one class of anomalous phenomena consistent with that ontology.

  • UCRC — Universal Consciousness as a Resonant Continuum

Background field posited by the framework: a single conscious substrate whose excitations and resonances give rise to localised observers and to the appearance of physical law.

  • Resonant plasmoid

Self-organising plasma structure proposed as the physical-layer signature of certain UAP. Treated here as the interface between the ontological substrate and conventional electromagnetic observables.

  • Recursive self-observation

Process by which the universal substrate models itself through localised observers; the loop that generates a stable, lawful experiential world from within.

  • Modified self-simulation

Variant of Irwin's self-simulation hypothesis adopted here: the simulation is run by consciousness on itself, not by an external substrate, and is constrained by the resonance structure of the field.

  • Perceptual injection

Hypothesised mechanism by which coherent experiences (visual, auditory, somatic) can be introduced into one or more observers without a corresponding classical electromagnetic source. Central to Hypothesis 6.

  • High strangeness

Vallée and Davis's term for UAP reports whose content violates ordinary physical or causal expectations. Used here as one axis of the comparison matrix.

  • Ontological layer

The level at which claims are made about the fundamental nature of reality (consciousness, information, substrate) rather than about specific observable signatures.

  • Physical layer

The level at which UAP are described in conventional physics terms — kinematics, plasma physics, electromagnetism — that any candidate ontology must reproduce.

  • Kinematic anomaly

Motion (acceleration, velocity, lack of inertial signature) that exceeds the performance envelope of known aircraft and is not explained by sensor artefacts.

  • Analytic idealism

Bernardo Kastrup's position that the only ontological primitive is mind. Adopted here as the background metaphysics on which the IS framework is built.

  • Hard problem of consciousness

Chalmers's term for the explanatory gap between physical processes and subjective experience. Motivates the framework's refusal to treat consciousness as derivative.

Bibliography

Primary sources for the ontological layer (Kastrup, Hoffman, Irwin, Lanza), the physical layer (Venne et al.) and the kinematic UAP literature (Knuth, Powell, Reali). Items marked as preprints or popular works are flagged accordingly.

Speculative & Adjacent Material

speculative

Sources outside the peer-reviewed corpus that nonetheless gesture at the same phenomenology the framework tries to account for: luminous spheres, plasma-like balls of light, and the geometric formations associated with them. Listed as speculative — useful as pattern data, not as proof.
