Hypotheses
Hypotheses surveyed
IS is the primary framework on this site, but it is not held in isolation. The competing UAP hypotheses are tracked, defined neutrally, and compared across explanatory power.
01
Intra-Synthesis Framework (IS)
Mind as primary; physical reality as a lawful emergent subset rendered through recursive self-observation. Incorporates UCRC and resonant plasmoid dynamics on the physical layer.
02
Extraterrestrial Technological Hypothesis (ETH)
UAP are physical craft of non-human, off-world technological civilizations. The dominant popular hypothesis since the 1950s.
03
Ultra-Terrestrial / Cryptoterrestrial Hypothesis
Non-human intelligences native to Earth or its near-environment, biological, technological, or interdimensional, that have remained hidden.
04
Human / Terrestrial Advanced Technology (incl. Breakaway)
Some or all UAP are advanced human technology — from conventional secret military programs and drones, through next-generation propulsion, up to fully breakaway black-budget or industrial programs operating outside public oversight. Largely unaddressed on this site, as the framework prioritises ontological implications over prosaic identification, but it remains a live, parsimonious option for a meaningful slice of the data.
05
Hybrid / Multiple Origins Hypothesis
The UAP signal is heterogeneous: several of the above causes contribute simultaneously, with no single explanation accounting for the full dataset. Importantly, this is a disjunctive model — distinct, independent explanations bolted together on a shared physicalist substrate (e.g. some cases are ET craft, others secret human tech, others cryptoterrestrial). It is not a unified two-layer synthesis like IS, which proposes a single ontology (consciousness-primary) with an integrated, lawful relationship between its base layer and its physical interface (plasma / resonance dynamics). A hybrid model stacks hypotheses; IS integrates layers.
06
Psychological / Cultural / Misperception
Mass misidentification, expectation bias, hallucination, or socio-cultural folklore evolving into modern UAP narratives. The IS observer-effects angle touches consciousness, but does not deeply explore error, deception, or non-anomalous explanations. A complete account must still subtract this baseline before claiming a residue.
07
Classical Simulation Hypothesis
Reality as a computation run by an external programmer or post-human civilization (Bostrom-style). Explicitly contrasted with — and avoided by — IS, which prefers a modified self-simulation via recursive self-observation, with no external simulator required.
08
Time Travel / Future Humans / Cryptoterrestrial Variants
Hidden Earth-based intelligences, temporal visitors from our own future, or other in-system actors. Overlaps with the Ultra-Terrestrial hypothesis but specifically foregrounds temporal or deeply concealed terrestrial origins. Not currently developed on this site.
09
Theistic / Spiritual Hypothesis
Divine intervention, angels and demons, or manifestations of a higher intelligence or collective unconscious. The mind-primary IS view has philosophical overlap with idealism and panpsychism but does not invoke traditional theistic explanations. A reader could interpret a fundamental consciousness theistically; IS itself stays metaphysically neutral on that step.
10
Prosaic / Natural Phenomena ("Swamp Gas")
The null end of the spectrum: marsh gas, lenticular clouds, Venus, satellites, ball lightning, conventional plasma — the everyday and the natural-but-exotic. The site does not engage these case-by-case; its focus is the unexplained residue. Ball lightning and plasma are closest to the natural-but-exotic category IS partially nods to via plasmoids.
